Positive: It's the second time we went to Kinosaki Onsen, and I couldn't have asked for a better place. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful, they even offered us a lift to the station the next day. They also gave us a free room upgrade, with free beverages and even beer. They speak english as well but we live in Japan and were fine with Japanese. Besides that the hotel is in a very good location, 15' from the train station, 5' from the bus stop, as well as the main attractions. There is a in house onsen with outside bath as well, and they also give you a free pass for the onsens in town. The room was very quiet and spacious, and the morning breakfast was one of the best I had so far. There is a wide selection of freshly prepared food, both japanese and continental, and the chef is preparing the dishes in the same room. we also had dinner and it was a perfect Kaiseki course, we were impressed by the lady that served us dinner. She was experienced and explained the dishes in details. We could see her passion in her job. we will definitely come back here next time we visit Kinosaki.

Positive: The view from our room was spectacular, the river, the storks nest (with a baby!) and the garden with the cherry blossom was a stand out! Another highlight was Miya (?, Miyo? Sorry), the guest service attendant. His service was exceptional and made our stay that much more enjoyable.

Negative: The room got very hot with the morning sun

Positive: Their onsen was comparable with the other 6 famous onsens. It was more private because there was lesser people coming in and out. Their breakfast spread was nice. Nicely decorated and a wide spread of varieties. Their staff was so friendly and helpful.

Negative: Nothing much to complain about haha

Summary: Wish we could stay for a week!
